Rental Use of O.L.P.H. Building and Equipment:
The O.L.P.H. Rental Board sets forth the following principles and policies for the use of the Parish Center and other buildings
on the O.L.P.H. campus.
The Parish Center is one of the tools this parish uses in ts work of mission, particularly the mission in this community,
by providing a place for the worship, study and fellowship activities of this parish. This mission also includes community
organizations whose goal is to support a healthy community environment.
Activities of our own parish have first priority when scheduling use of the Parish Center or other buildings. However,
other previously secured scheduled events must be honored.
All use of the buildings must be cleared with the designated Building Coordinator. The Rental Board will maintain the
events and meetings calendar.
An authorized representative of the parish must be present when the buildings are used for non-parish functions.
The use of the buildings for meetings by non-profit organizations of public service groups will be approved at the discretion
of the Rental Board.

ARCHDIOCESAN POLICY FOR BAPTISM & CONFIRMATION SPONSORS
Many times those who are asked to assume the role of sponsor are uncertain about their ability to fufill this role. Perhaps
you too are wondering if you are eligible to be a sponsor. Therequiremens to be a sponsor for Confirmation are the same
as those required to be a Godparent at Baptism. By answering the following questions you will be able to determine whether
or not you may be a sponsor.
- Have I received all three Sacraments of Initation; Baptism, Confirmation, and First Eucharist?
- As a practicing Catholic, have I participated at Mass on Sundays and Holy days and have I received the Sacraments
of Eucharist and Reconcillation regularly?
- Am I living my Christian Vocation as a single person or as a person validly married in the Church?
Those married by the Justice of the Peace, those living together without the benefit of marriage andthose who have
been divorced and remarried without a Declartion of Nullity from the Diocesan Tribunal from a previous marriage are Not
eligible to fulfill the role of sponsor for Baptism and Confirmation in the Catholic Church.
- Have I actively strived to live out my own baptismal commitment to Christ and His Church by my response to all
people?
- Do I believe all thqt the Roman Catholic Church teaches and believes? Have I truly made a serious effort to live
an upright life?
- I am NOT the parent of the child to be baptized or confirmed.
- Am I at least 16 years old?
- Do I realize that I assume great responsibility before God and the Church in becoming a sponsor? Do I promise
to give my support to the person I am sponsoring by my prayers and Christian examples in my daily life.
Only those who are able to answer yes to all the above questions are eligible to be sponsors for Baptism and Confirmation
For Baptism only one sponsor (God Parent) who meets the requirements is needed, but most parents choose two,
( a God Mother, and God Father) A God Parent chosen who does not meet all the requirements is listed as a witness in the Church
Sacramental Registry, but still could be called God Parent by the Child.
